Pressure Relief Remote Thermostat Kit

Our Pressure Relief remote thermostat kit is suitable for all Post 1997 S1 Elise's with lower coolant hoses and S2 K Series Elise (Not S2 111S or any engine that has a Recirculation Pump).

This is the latest development in the fight against thermal shock within the engine, which is one of the biggest causes of HGF (head gasket failure).

Land Rover and MG Rover have been using this system for a number of years now with great success.

Designed to help to prevent thermal shock suffered by the engine and reduce head gasket failure by keeping the engine temperature change at a slow and even rate.

Supplied complete with silicon hoses specifically designed to integrate with the current cooling system.

Our kit comes complete with: *82°C PRRT grey thermostat, which has a lighter pressure relief spring.

Black silicon hoses which are designed to last longer than traditional rubber hoses and allow a more efficient water flow.

This kit has been designed specifically for the Lotus; it needs no modifications to the existing coolant system, you simply replace two coolant pipes and remove the current thermostat.

The installation should take about three hours by a competent DIY Lotus owner.
